Welcome!

Jesus be praised world without end.

About me? There’s not much to say. I am a 50-something single dechurched individual who tries (desires) to live a life of prayer and mortification.

My background is within the broader Catholic movement – I have spent some time within various “traditionalist” circles within Anglicanism and Roman Catholicism. My personal choice is the Book of Common Prayer and I am more comfortable within traditional versions. Life has changed, and I have changed with it. I am no longer that person, but I am glad about the experience. I am exploring a vocation to the solitary life as an enclosed (separated) solitary.

I like tea made from leaves. Sometimes, I drink herbal tea, but most of the time, it is Russian Caravan. No milk, please! I try to stay vegan, but sometimes, my body has different ideas. I have two Kierkegaard tattoos. Simplicity is all things; “moderation is the best policy”. I pray (poorly) and read sometimes. I am painfully aware of my sinfulness. I live with dysthymia. I wear a scapular to focus on Jesus.

I am always happy to chat, so drop me a line if you have any questions or prayer requests.

This blog is a collection of random thoughts on theology, philosophy, books, and life as I explore my vocation. I do not have a product to sell, and I am not a brand. I speak with “no authority.” I speak for no religious group or denomination, no party or movement. I speak from my own experience and life.
