maybe a bishop
Which author would you love to have dinner with?
Previously I said Kierkegaard, or Nietzsche, or Kafka. And I would still love to have a meal with any or all of them!

But now, after reading The Orthodox Church, Bishop Ware. That book was eye opening for me – very honest! I have so many questions about Orthodoxy and I think he is the person to ask.
tiktok
What’s a moment when a stranger completely restored your faith in people?
I cannot recall a moment but I think I know a platform that restored my faith: TikTok. Random people but their thoughts “out there” and I no longer feel isolated. Yes, there is someone who agrees with me! But there is also someone who reminds me of what is essential.

all good
If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say?
Oh wow!!! This is so weird!

Spaghetti Bolognese
What’s the best local dish you’ve ever eaten while traveling?
I do not travel so my favourite dish at home is … Spaghetti Bolognese! In fact, any pasta is a very good meal.

What’s a thing you wish schools actually taught?

I want to say life skills – like cooking and budgeting. But I will be a snob and say, “classical philosophy”.
alone
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Don’t chase anyone! If they do not answer, do not chase. If they make no effort, do not chase. Being alone is often much better than being an addition.
looks
What’s something you used to worry about but don’t anymore?
I want to say other people and their opinions. But maybe the way I look is more realist. I used to care, especially when I was much younger, but now it is just no longer part of my thought-process. I am simply past it
Anyway …
person over institution
What’s a quote that perfectly describes your outlook on life?
… wherever Jesus Christ is [present], there is the Church
As a person who is de-churched (that is, I was once involved but no longer), this quote by Ignatius of Antioch sets the baseline. I want to entertain that I still have faith but will remain outside the institution for the foreseeable future. Jesus over institution.
