What profession do you admire most and why?
Not a profession (as in “job”) but religious – the hermits who live complete off-the-grid.
The commitment to an ideal – in this case a person – is what I admire. These hermits turn their backs on all things that this world looks for and simple turn to Jesus. “Deny yourself and follow me.”
Faith! To follow Jesus unconditionally in hiddenness and “fear of the Lord” (accountability). To be forgotten by the world and only seen by Jesus.
I would not describe me, and most certainly not define me. I would ask the individual to experience me
If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?
I would cash in the tickets and buy more books.

What’s the story behind your nickname?
To my knowledge, I have never had a nickname. I have been called Father (that is, as a priest) in the past. But that was a relational term rather than a nickname.
What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?
Avoid people, focus on Jesus.
What are your future travel plans?
I have absolutely no travel plans but I do have plans to read more. I like “where” I am at the moment. Yet there is always another book to read and a new author to explore.
Depends on what I am doing and the time of the day. But I have one playlist to which I return most days: for you.
…a cat person. I have nothing against dogs – maybe a Great Dane – but I am simply a cat person.
